Me-Made-May 2015 - Days 8-10

I haven't kept you posted for a couple of days, mainly because I've been busy, but also partly because I forgot to take a photo on Friday and was ashamed!

Friday (day 8):
NO PHOTO!! I wore a cute brown suede lookalike pencil skirt. I completely adore it and it fits fairly well. I'm certain this'll come up again this month, so I'll make sure I take a photo next time!

Saturday (day 9):
Sadly this was a work day for me as I had BIG plans for Sunday. We just popped out for lunch at Wagamama, so I apologise for my make-up free exhausted looking state. My me-made is the top - I wore it earlier in May, I think. It is just a white tank top with little brown hearts. With hand-sewn bias binding. I like it quite a lot, but I'll admit that in this case it was just something to chuck on for lunch out between work and more work.
'Have you taken the photo yet? I want to eat!'
Mmmm... Cha Han.
Wagamama Leamington Spa is pretty awesome, to be honest. I drag friends and family there whenever I can! It is in the old ballroom of the Regent Hotel, and despite the Wagamama style being super minimalist, they've kept the cherubs and chandeliers of its glory days. Every time I go I notice another little detail that's been appreciated, lovingly restored and incorporated into the gorgeous minimalist/Regency mishmash. I love it.

Sunday (day 10):
Hooray! Spa day! My wonderful friend Sharn and I spent the day at The Windmill Village Hotel in Coventry. We had a manicure, pedicure and massage, as well as a few hours in the pool/steamroom/sauna and a deliciously indulgent lunch (we just picked all the stuff we liked... then sat there til it was all gone - heaven!).

In traditional spa day fashion, I wore a loose flowing top in preparation for being sticky post-massage. It's that poorly-fitting floaty flowery top again!
Waiting for massage.
So that's my me-made for the last couple of days, but I have more for you! I have 2 questions that I need help answering.
1. What shall I make this into?! I bought it at a charity shop because I was going through a button phase. It fits fairly well, but makes me look like a fat granny. So how can I update it?! All thoughts welcome.
Glorious or hideous??
2. I'm so sick of my bobbins getting all of a muddle. I bought this box a couple of years ago, but then sat on it about a week later. Now it's just getting ridiculous and it's all tangled and messy. Does anyone have any genius solutions for keeping them tidy?!
Lid on - still loose threads tangling...grr...
broken lid. Arg! Nightmare!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Emily.
